In this chapter we describe how you generate a version or revision.

Make sure you activated the version/revision feature of PlantReporter (see Version/Revision).

Lets start with the regular PID Valvelist and click on "Print/Export".

Since the Version/Revision feature is activated a new dialog will show up.

Here you can see that the first version will have the value "0". If you version/revision setup allows manual values you would have to type in the version value. In this case the value is increased automatically.

To create a Revision you select "Create new Revision".

If you click on "Create without versioning" you won't create a version nor revision.

In this case the file name doesn't show any version or revision value.

However, if you click on "Create" a new version or revision will be created.

In this case you see " - v0" as an added expression at the end of the file name.

If you open the report you see the text Version and the value of the version.
