This chapter describes the various options of the Versions/Revisions tab of the Settings dialog.
Remark: This feature is not yet adapted for Collaboration projects.
PlantReporter allows you to create versions and revisions of reports and later also compare them.
By default the Version/Revision feature is deactivated. If you enable this feature, then all other elements on the dialog will be enabled for further setup.
Versions and Revisions can be setup for a numerical or alphabetical index. Typically you will choose different types.
If you choose "Numerical" you can define the length and whether the version version/revision should be "0" or "1".
If you select "Alphabetical" you can choose from 4 different starting values.
When you later compare versions/revisions, the report can get background colors.
Added Objects Are objects which were added between the two selected versions/revisions.
Deleted Objects Are objects which were deleted between the two selected versions/revisions.
Changed Data Show a change in a value between the two selected versions/revisions.
Increase Show an increase in value (often in Bill of Materials from 3D) between the two selected versions/revisions.
Decrease Show a decrease in value (often in Bill of Materials from 3D) between the two selected versions/revisions.
