Using Collaboration projects

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This chapter explains how PlantReporter must be used when using collaboration projects (Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM360).

All other features of PlantReporter are described under PlantReporter.

For details about PlantDataManager ACC click here.

The video give you an overview how PlantDataManager and PlantReporter work together with collaboration projects.

Data Cache Files

PlantReporter check if there are pending changes which haven't been imported by PlantDataManager Plugin. This allows you to postpone the creation of a report in such a case.

Prerequisites

In order to let PlantDataManager work with collaboration projects AutoCAD Plant 3D 2023 must be installed and activated on your machine.

If PlantReporter should be able to open a collaboration project, the project must have previously been opened at some point (this will change shortly with a new release). It is not important, that the local copy in your collaboration folder is up-to-date. PlantReporter will take care of it.

Opening a collaboration project

When you open a collaboration project you will see "Refreshing from Project" which executes the 'Refresh from Project' command to ensure your local data are up-to-date before creating a report.

Refresh/Reload

If you click on the 'Refresh' button right of the selected project, your collaboration project will be loaded again. This may be important in case you are aware, that changes have been made while you are in PlantReporter with the project open.

Print/Export

When clicking on 'Print/Export' PlantReporter will download any existing data cache files to check if there are pending changes.

If this is the case you will see the dialog where you can either continue or cancel.
