This chapter describes how you can link a P&ID Fasteners with the 3D Fasteners.

Linking the 3D Fasteners is a bit different. Fasteners are sub parts of a connector. A connector is the object which is between 2 Pipe Run Components (e.g., an Elbow and Pipe or in our case a Flange and a Valve).

In Plant 3D you can select the sub parts (e.g., Gasket) of the Connector with the CTRL Key.

We use again Link with 3D Object.

Now you hold the CTRL key and select the gasket till the Gasket gets highlighted.

Remark: Unfortunately we couldn't make the screenshot to show the highlighted Gasket.

Now the Gasket is linked.

When you repeat this with the Gasket and Welding Neck Border on the Lapped Flange you have to pay attention, that you select the correct 3D part (Gasket vs. StubEnd). But again, the 3D part will be highlighted.
