Pipe Spec

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This chapter describes which additional properties you may want to consider.

First, when you want to have better filtering of your parts in the Pipe Spec. Second, when PlantSpecDriven is supposed to substitute your P&ID Symbol.

Remark: For PlantSpecDriven it is enough to make the changes describes below in your Pipe Specs. However, typically you make these changes first in the Catalogs. This avoids making the changes for each and every Pipe Spec. If you have existing Pipe Specs you have to create the Properties also in the Pipe Specs, but then the values can be updated from the Catalog. This is standard Plant 3D pipe spec handling.

If you don't use the Assign Catalog Data feature, you don't need to adapt the Pipe Specs and catalogs at all.
